Step into Salt Beach Kiosk, a hidden gem nestled right on the sandy shores of Sea Lane in East Preston. This charming café isn't just about the food; it’s an experience that embraces the warmth of community spirit, mingling delightful locals with visitors who have come to enjoy the breathtaking sea view.

As soon as you arrive, you are greeted by friendly staff whose smiles are as bright as the azure skies above. The café boasts an inviting outdoor seating area, perfect for basking in the sun with a creamy cappuccino or a refreshing smoothie in hand. It's the ideal retreat after a brisk walk along the picturesque beach, where the sound of waves crashing serves as the perfect backdrop.

Although the menu details are limited, what truly shines are the customer testimonials that paint a vivid picture of their offerings. From Peter Freestone's praise of the 'best flapjack' he's ever tasted, to Guy Bailey's delight in their 'delicious cakes' and invigorating smoothies, it's clear that this café takes pride in crafting treats that not only satisfy cravings but also delight the palate.

However, what makes Salt Beach Kiosk truly special is its inviting atmosphere. Customers rave about the supportive camaraderie among both locals and newcomers. Chris Hermon beautifully captures this essence by describing the atmosphere as a "mixture of very supportive locals and visitors." The kiosk transforms into a warm haven during hot summer days, although be mindful—ice cream varieties do tend to vanish quickly! Phil Gladman notes the friendly service and the charm of enjoying a refreshing treat with a stunning view, making it a memorable stop during your day at the beach.

For dog owners, you'll feel right at home here! With fresh water available for your furry friends, even they can enjoy a well-deserved break after a day of frolicking by the seaside.

Although open only until 4:30 pm and primarily during the summer months, Salt Beach Kiosk remains a beloved staple for all who visit. It’s a place where time seems to pause, allowing guests to relax with a cup of coffee or a sweet treat while taking in beautiful views of the beach and beyond, including the Isle of Wight on clear days.

If you’re searching for a delightful café that offers more than just food but a community experience, Salt Beach Kiosk awaits, ready to serve you up some sunshine and smiles!

Situated right on the beach, it's a great place to get your drinks and ice creams. They also have seating outside. On hot days they do run out of ice creams quickly. They have such a lovely bunch of staff and always friendly. Shame it's only open until 4.30pm though and only in the summer. There's always a reasonable amount of dog walking and others buying by in the colder months and a hot drink would be very welcome especially as there's now the beach sauna nearby.

The perfect spot and place after a wander along the beach. Delicious cakes, lovely smoothies and a warm, friendly welcome. Perfect as I told them. Dog enjoyed it too with fresh water to wash away the salt.

A charming, small, family-run café by the beach with a magnificent sea view, offering only outdoor seating. A wonderful place to relax and unwind after a walk along the shore with a coffee and a little sweet treat . Open in the summer, closed during the winter months.

I secret little gem at East Preston. Right on the beach. Great coffee, snacks and wonderful staff. Sadly not open all year round, so deeply missed in the winter months. Dog friendly too. Great views of the beach, wind farm and the Isle of Wight.
